Support the Bar Harbor Brass Week

You can help the Brass Week accomplish its goals!

Our Mission

The Bar Harbor Brass Week seeks to provide talented young musicians with an excellent performing and learning experience and to enrich the cultural life of the Bar Harbor area.  The Brass Week will utilize a nationally known faculty to attract and instruct a small and select group of pre-professional, college and high school musicians from around the world as well as locally.  The Brass Week seeks to bring some of the world's best young musicians to Bar Harbor, Maine each summer to experience great music-making and to enjoy the beauty of Mount Desert Island.  In turn, this program and its participants will enrich the lives of local students and the community at large.

Our Goal

Now in its sixth year of existence, the Bar Harbor Brass Week has achieved remarkable success for such a young program.  One of our goals is to make the program tuition free for all students so that those with financial need are not excluded from participating.

How to Contribute

If you would like to offer fully tax-deductible financial assistance to our program, you can make contributions through the Mark Woolman Horner Music Fund.  Checks can be made payable to Mark Woolman Horner Fund/Bar Harbor Brass Week and sent to:
